Established in 1973, Ganter Constructions is one of the oldest family-owned building companies in the Goulburn region.

Director Basil Toparis commenced his career in the construction building unit blocks and during the 1970's progressed into the development of a number of commercial sites throughout Goulburn's CBD.

​

In the mid-1980's the company expanded into major residential developments, developing a 48 villa complex in Ifield. The success of this venture led Ganter into the house and land package market and a number of quality estates were established in the Bradfordville area as well as smaller medium density complexes.

​

In 1990 Ganter Constructions undertook its largest and most challenging initiative in developing the new Goulburn suburb of Crestwood. This major housing estate overlooking the Wollondilly River comprised around 100 houses, parklands and a retail site.

​

After completing Crestwood, further estate developments progressed around Goulburn including Paradise Place, Amaroo and Samuel Place in Bradfordville, Manion Street, Brownhill Street and James Place in West Goulburn. More than 150 new homes were constructed during this period.

In 2012 construction of the five stage, 212-lot Mistful Park Estate commenced. With unmatched views over Goulburn, Mistful Park has already proven to be a highly sought-after location for new home buyers. Later stages of the Estate will also see Goulburn's newest neighbourhood commercial precinct continue to expand, providing much-needed services to this growth area of Goulburn.

Ganter Constructions continues its long relationship with the region's premier tradesmen, subcontractors and local suppliers, ensuring the highest quality product possible. Some of these subcontractors have now surpassed 20 years working with Ganter including plasterers Geoff and Warren Lockman from LockCo Plastering. Other long-term local suppliers include electrician Mark Robertson of M & T Electrical, painter Matt Kehlet and Mick and Leanne Evans from Goulburn Tiles.

Now 50 years on, Basil continues to oversee every detail of his building company, alongside his Master Builder sons Richard and Phillip.

 

In 2014 grandson and apprentice Sam became Ganter Construction's third generation of Toparis builders. With grandson James also taking up the building trade in 2015, Tom in 2021 and Broc in 2023, home buyers can be assured of quality Ganter Constructions homes for decades to come.
